# 9 - First water. wavetrainSUP is a sister company that makes custom SUP paddles and SUP paddle kits. After a decade or so of concentrating on paddles, the bug to build something bigger than a paddle bit pretty hard. This led to numerous late night and weekend sessions in the shop roughing out several prototypes. And then one fine day - a prototype started to ‘feel’ good. It looked good too, and then it began calling out for some water. Part catamaran and part paddleboard - it is proving to be a versatile board, good for flyfishing, photography, quiet sunrise paddling (especially when there is fog over the water), and all around enjoyment. mid-July 2018 saw the start and things have moved along since then.
